A thought (from Martine)

The machine used for doing mammography was designed by a man, probably around the same time as the one they used to stretch people for torture.

Let us look at this objectively;

  1. The machine is controlled by lots of buttons and pedals all of which are just out of reach of the average height lady operating it.
  2. The machine is controlled by lots of buttons and pedals so is, essentially,a massive electronic gadget.
  3. The electronic gadget traps the breast imbetween two heavy pressurized clamps and squashes until the breast is ONE centimetre thick. It then keeps the victim clamped until it has finished scanning.
  4. It does this FIVE times.

I bet the equivalent male “graphy” is not done this way. Can anyone advise? Although I think the same machine could be suitable for purpose.

We are thinking of writing a book on 100 uses for a kiwi. This is number 43.
